Terms

Terms of service

What this service is, what it isn't, and what you agree to when you send a request.

These terms apply to Buffalo Water Damage Help ("we", "us") and to anyone using this site. They're written to be read, not to be impressive. If something here doesn't match what you expected, don't submit a request — ask us first.

What this service is

We are a free referral service. We connect homeowners in the Buffalo and Western New York area with independent local water damage restoration professionals. We are not a restoration contractor, we do not perform restoration work, and we do not employ the professionals who contact you.

What we do not promise

We do not warrant or guarantee any work performed by a professional you're connected with, and we don't guarantee that any particular professional will contact you, that one will be available in your area, or that any specific price, timeline, or outcome will apply. Any agreement about work, price, or scheduling is strictly between you and that professional.

It is your responsibility as the homeowner to verify that any contractor you hire carries the license and insurance required for the work being performed.

Who will contact you, and your consent

When you submit the request form, you are asking to be contacted. Specifically, you agree that we and our referral partner network — currently MarketCall (Marketcall Inc.) — and the independent local restoration professional they route your request to may call and text you about that request at the phone number you provide, including by automated dialing or pre-recorded means.

Two things worth being clear about:

  • Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can ask for help without agreeing to automated calls — contact us instead and say so.
  • You can stop it at any time. Reply STOP to a text, tell a caller not to call again, or contact us and we'll remove your details. Message and data rates may apply.

We record the exact consent wording shown to you, and the time you submitted, alongside your request — so there is a clear record of what you agreed to.

Emergencies

This site is not an emergency service. If your situation involves electricity, gas, structural collapse, or sewage contamination and someone may be in danger, contact 911 or your utility first. A request form is not a substitute for emergency services.

Accuracy of the information here

The guidance on this site — how restoration works, what to do first, what things typically cost — is general information about water damage in this region. It is not a professional assessment of your property, and it isn't insurance advice. Your situation may differ. Treat anything here as a starting point for a conversation with a qualified pro and with your insurer.

Using the site

Don't submit requests on someone else's behalf without their knowledge, submit false information, or use the site to collect data about the professionals in our network. We may decline or remove any request.

Changes

If we change these terms we'll update this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated terms apply.
